Hi, I’m Urvi.
I’d like to interrupt your inner critic
with this important message…
The soundtracks in our head are composed of an orchestra of familial, ideological, interpersonal, and institutional voices. I’ll show you how to detangle your truth from theirs, so you can lead with your legacy.
I serve visionary women of color. Who does that include?
Women of color (WOC) represent a group of people who identify and/or are experiencing life as a woman and include Black, Indigenous, Asian, and all other minority-ethnicities who are more likely to have had influences like these:
Intergenerational poverty
Immigrant backgrounds
Social inequities
Racism
Gender disparities
Socio-economic imbalances
I also support allies and accomplices.
Allies are people who have made an intentional commitment and effort to learn about and recognize their privilege (based on gender, class, race, sexual identity, etc.), and who work in solidarity with oppressed groups in the pursuit of justice. Accomplices are those allies who use their power and privilege to challenge the status quo, often taking on greater risk in the process.
Why WOC? Because when I’m guiding visionary women of color like you to lead, you’re not just up against yourself.
You’ve got history to handle.
I find that women of color not only deal with the “regular life stuff” like:
Defining their careers
Learning to lead
Shaping their communities
Building families
Taking care of others
They’re also constantly feeling pressured to:
“Take up the cause”
Use their voices for social justice
Represent their gender/race/ethnicity as a whole
Speak out against inequities
Initiate change around them
Be the first to _______
Oh – AND they’re expected to do it all within the white, patriarchal standards of our times.
That makes for a very different conversation about leadership.
I know because I’ve lived it.
I dropped out of law school and moved to D.C. without a clear idea of what I should be doing next. As an immigrant woman from India, I had been caught between the pressures to assimilate to American culture and to honor my parents’ sacrifices to give me a better life in a new country.
I knew I wanted to do something different but I found myself in a state of searching and getting by, pining for fulfillment but unable to break away from what society expected of me. Once I started doing the inner work that raised my awareness of the contracts I was conditioned to follow, I was able to renegotiate those contracts to support the woman I wanted to be and the impact I wanted to have.
Before I became a coach, I built a career around pushing for progress.
I’ve lived abroad, led award-winning teams, facilitated high-stakes foreign relations, and even trained to run for office. My focus was creating flourishing communities via education, healthcare, and equity-building.
(Your legacy has little to do with your resume but it does leave a wake behind your ship. Over here, we like to celebrate the successes along the way. I'll go first.)

And in doing so, I was transformed.
What did transformation look like for me?
“She consistently pushed me to
be the best version of myself.”
“Urvi is a natural mentor, coach, and guide. As a mentor and former manager, she identified my potential, fostered my curiosity, and provided the support I needed to grow.
With a calm demeanor and wisdom beyond her years, she would add perspective in times of uncertainty and help me see beyond challenges at hand. Her optimistic vision never wavers and she consistently pushed me to be the best version of myself.”

COLLECTIVE POWER
FROM A SINGLE SPARK
I believe when you power up your inner light, you raise the collective brightness of the world. Every movement, every change starts with a spark inside one person.
I’ve learned from working for years to affect positive social change that one of the most powerful disruptors of intergenerational issues, racism, sexism, and wealth disparity is YOU.
When you act from inner alignment, stand in your light, and live intentionally, you cause a ripple effect in the people around you, and to people beyond them, and to all of humanity.
When you rise, we all rise.
Five moments that powered my sense of self
